Technology is a field that never stops evolving. I strive to use new, cutting-edge technology to help those who never knew we can use technology in these ways. From new frameworks to LLMs, keeping up with the latest tech evolutions is key.

In progressBy the end of the first semester of my third year, I will develop a healthy balance between school, my job, and my personal well-being by journaling at least 5 days per week, reaching out to a peer or family member at least once per week, and doing a monthly review of how I'm spending my time to adjust as needed.
I chose this competency because I realize that I fall victim to a 100 or nothing, perfectionist motivation. When encountering challenge or disappointment, I very often suppress it and don’t seek help until it’s impossible to ignore. This will help me stay focused and diligent in the face of adversity, developing a resilient mindset that employers will appreciate.
Though, that isn't to say it's not for my own well-being too. Be kind to yourself.
Communication
In progressBy August 27th, 2026 (end of my work term), I will produce clear, professional documentation for my Playwright pilot project that can be understood and used by team members unfamiliar with the tool. I will present it to my coworkers who will work on the project in the future, confirming that all documents are suitable, based on their perspective.
I chose this competency because—especially in a team setting—communication is a crucial skillset; developing it allows me to help others while growing my own skills simultaneously. The ability to lay my mind out on paper or articulate my thoughts exactly into words is an excellent skill to have, so I want to build on it to further my career.
Initiative & Commitment
DoneBy September 1st, 2026, I will complete my personal hobby project to a usable state for my friends and family, where I develop an application to search for albums and stitch together covers in a GIF. Optionally, users can upload transparent PNGs to personalize the output I will focus on developing this project by breaking it up into digestible chunks that I can review on a biweekly basis.
I recognize that I often fall in love with the initial planning and visions of projects, before losing interest because development involves more than just thoughts. This will help me work through challenges that I know I will encounter, while allowing me to build confidence in my own ideas instead of dropping them because I make excuses to bail myself out instead of sticking with a project to the end.
